Not likely to work on a normal corporate network
Okay, so I’m a techie. A technical architect, coder, etc. The app description does not describe HOW this app works, so the only way to find out is by paying for it. So be it, its only two bucks.
This app works through a local LAN connection on a created HTTP port (mine used 56321). The only problem is that most corporate networks block peer-to-peer connections, at least any corporate network that cares about security.
The developer SHOULD set up a basic SSL HTTP Server open on standard ports that most networks don’t block. That server should broker the connection between the phone and the PC/Mac. There would be a lot of latency and it would be laggy, but it would work.
It should at least be a secondary option. Bluetooth connection would be even better.
Now, I can get it working by setting up my Mac as a hotspot, but then I can’t get on the internet, so it can only work with local prezis (I have a pro account) that don’t have an internet element to them.
In other words, I can get this working with a hack that most users wouldn’t have a clue on how to set up.
